November 2, 2009 Featured, News No Comments

This past month, I had the opportunity to visit the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany. A lot of manufacturers were delivering exciting news around new electric vehicles. For instance, Volkswagen just announced the future availability of the E-Up, a revolutionary new electric vehicle. But my focus was directed elsewhere, and one of the best announcements of the auto showcase came from Toyota, who just announced the coming availability of a new plug-in Prius model that is sure to have your local Newark new Toyota dealer brimming with customers.

prius plug inThe long-awaited plug-in Prius will sell in small numbers to U.S. fleet customers next year and will expand its availability following the trial period. Your Hoboken new Toyota dealer will soon showcase the new Prius model, which leverages a 4.5 kwh lithium ion battery to give the vehicle a 12.5-mile electric range. The vehicle can reach 60 mph on electric power alone.

The lithium ion battery will see some action in test phases, but Toyota also mentioned that the vehicle will bypass the lithium ion battery in the future for new battery technology that is currently in development. Hoboken new Toyota dealers are anticipating a huge swell in business based on the progressive, innovative parameters of the new technology.

If you didn’t know, Toyota already features vehicles with spectacular affordability and great features for reliability and low total cost of ownership. If you can’t wait for the new plug-in Prius, you might want to test-drive a new Corolla or Camry, two vehicles that have received a lot of attention for the Japanese manufacturer. Your Newark new Toyota dealer has seen a lot of attention from shoppers regarding both vehicles.

If you visit a Newark used Toyota dealer, the original Prius that rocked the automotive world makes a great pre-owned purchase. The Prius still has one of the best fuel efficiency ratings in the world, boasting 51 mpg in highway driving and 48 mpg in the city.

An increasing need for efficiency in driving has pushed a lot of manufacturers to explore new technologies and strategies for the ultimate in fuel-efficient travel. Even as a foreign manufacturer, Toyota is helping pave the way for the U.S. to decrease its reliance on oil and increase its attention to the fragile eco-system.
